Duck Tape Popup Store
How do you take something as everyday as Duck Tape and make people line up for it in the middle of Manhattan?
OVERVIEW
A Brand Experience Built for What Comes Next
The idea was to treat it less like a product and more like a creative medium.
The pop-up was built to showcase what Duck Tape becomes in the hands of people who push it further. A launch event anchored by a fashion show featuring Project Runway designers set the tone, supported by event planning and production that turned a familiar material into something unexpected and worth paying attention to.
From there, the space carried that same energy. Not just a retail environment, but a place built around participation, discovery, and creative use. Workshops, installations, and hands-on moments were brought together through thoughtful planning and execution, making the experience feel active instead of transactional.
The response was immediate. Within the first 24 hours, more than 12,000 rolls were sold, with the space quickly becoming a destination rather than a stop.
What started as a temporary retail concept turned into something bigger. A moment where a widely recognized product was seen in a completely different way.
