Without our clients and supporters, we would be nothing. We are also so thankful to work in a highly collaborative and creative environment full of equally amazing people. There are so many facets to what we do here at Berning Marketing, but we happen to know, that social media is KING right now in the marketing world. When you work in marketing, it’s hard to not look at Black Friday as the next big day, but we like to be traditionalists and give Thanksgiving it’s day in the sun! Here are five reasons to be thankful for social media this Thanksgiving!
Social media is a wonderful way to show your thanks! The success of your business depends upon your customers and clients: especially the ones that have been loyal to you along the way. Thanksgiving is a time where you tell others how thankful you are for them. With social media, offering an exclusive promotion or producing complementary content will show your audience how thankful you are for them.
Giving Thanks To Your Partners
It’s very common for brands to partner with other brands. If you have co-hosted an event or partnered with another company for a project, now is the time to show your gratitude. Social media makes this easier and can also boost your and your partners following on the internet.
Social media, LinkedIn especially, is great for reaching out to influencers and mentors. Any good brand knows that it’s best to continue learning 100% of the time. Through social media, you can connect and network with some of the best in the industry. This is extremely important for smaller, local brands because of the opportunity to connect to huge national corporations!
Reviews and referrals on Facebook are the best way for other people to see if a business is doing a great job. Thanksgiving isn’t all about GIVING thanks, it’s also about receiving them! Hosting a campaign on social media asking for reviews is also a great way to be more searchable online.
Participating in a charity event or even hosting a fundraiser is a great way to show your audience that you believe and care about your community. Have your brand brainstorm each year around the Holiday season on ways that you can spread the cheer. Volunteering at a soup kitchen, donating coats to the homeless and countless other ideas are great ways to get exposure and of course: it brings a sense of humanity to each of your employees.
