There is a popular observation floating around out there. It’s one that small business owners everywhere have been thinking about. With so many people spending a majority of their time online, is television advertising still effective?
Well… wonder no more. According to a study by the marketing-analytics company MarketShare, television advertising is still a safe bet. The study showed that between 2009 – 2014 TV advertising outperformed digital and offline forms of advertising.
The study showed that when comparing advertising media outlets such as television, online display, print and radio that TV advertising preformed the best in KPIs (key performance areas).
A really interesting fact uncovered by the study is that when it comes to luxury cars, only TV advertising was able to maintain its effectiveness over the studied period. Luxury car television advertising saw a 1.5% decrease in effectiveness compared to the more than 10% decrease in effectiveness found in all other forms of advertising.
Wow. We know, right? So, what do you make of these findings? The first thing is to make sure that television advertising is a part of your marketing game-plan.
